any one please Help me to solve this issue

    thanks in advance

    • @karthik Try to roll back your intel GMA graphics extensions to the 10.6.4 versions, if you haven’t found another solution yet.

  2. Hi conti,

I upgraded to 10.6.4 and used the latest installer that I found on the downloads section.

After reboot, all goes normal until the system is trying to pull the video and shows the login screen. Instead, I am getting a black screen (the HDD continues loading as I can see heavy activity) and the monitor status led is blinking. As if the OS turned the monitor off to save power. It looks like the system is loaded, just getting no video.

If I try many times to boot the system, occasionally (1 out of 20) it will boot correctly…. but most of the times just give me the black screen. Any ideas or suggestions?

I am using a GT 7300 pcie video card. Prior to this, I was running the system at 10.6.0 and got no issues.

    Thanks in advanced!

    • Joed: Try to replace the NV* and GForce* kexts in /S/L/E with earlier versions of them, this should solve your issue. Sometimes graphics updates included in software updates will result in poorly functioning or non functioning graphics, depending on the model of graphics card individuals are using and how those models were effected by the updates.

  3. I have a laptop with windows in internal HDD. I have installed Mac OS X snow leopard 10.6.4 on my External Hard Drive and used to boot it with Myhack installed in it and it worked. Then I wanted to boot my mac without the installer thus I installed Myhack installer in my mac startup volume (External HDD) and it sure worked but a problem occured that after installing Myhack installer, windows ( installed on my laptop’s internal HDD) would not boot without Myhack installer. What is going on?

    • Aqeel Ahmed: You will need to refer to my dual booting demystified post, it explains the problems windows 7 will encounter and how to fix them. However it is odd because those problems usually only occur on partitioned drives, not separate physical volumes. Perhaps check your drive boot priority in the bios.

    • Thanks for the link aschar! I’m back on IRC I look forward to talking to you again, it has been quite some time.

  4. Conti – I made the mistake of letting my kids play on the hackintosh that I used your installer on and they clicked to the latest update in osx and now I am getting “double panic” and something about holding during spinlock or something like that. I tried to google this but am having trouble finding answers. I am hoping you can help me out. I did copy over the sleepenabler kext for 10.6.4 and ran pfix. It seems to be somewhat random. I can use the system for only a few seconds one time but then for several minutes another time. If I weren’t already bald I’d be pulling my hair out. Any thoughts on what I should do now (and how I do it)? Thank you for all you do!

    • Andrew: When all else fails, re-install… I would need more information to give you a better option. It’s been a month and a half since your comment so I’m assuming you have sorted it out by now anyway. Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner.

  5. Hi,
did you lost interest in the project? There are no news about the fixed installer…
Have a nice day (and holidays)!

    • piero: I had too much going on in my personal life over the last few months to be able to spare the time to manage this project. I never lost interest I just had to place priority on my responsibilities. I’m catching up now.

  6. Hey, Wanted to say great work on your work, you are awesome. I do have a problem that I hope that you can help with. I was running fine and tried to update the installer to version 1.1 so I could update to 10.6.4. I think I did this wrong as after I did the 10.6.4 update I started to get an apple screen saying that I need to power off and back on when starting the machine. So what I decided to do is start from scratch and build a new install USB with the new installer , (the Snow Leopard version I have is 10.6 not a later build) but when I try and boot to the USB I get the same problem.

Just for reference when I used your earlier installer the machine installed right off the bat, though since then I did install a NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT that was working fine until I started the update process.

Here is a list of the other details on the machine.
    Motherboard – Intel DG33FB
    Processor – Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz
    Memory – 2GB

So anyway, any help you could give me I would really appreciate it.

  7. Hi Conti,

Updated to 10.6.4 and cloned to a USB HD, worked great. Then I tried to change the boot sequence so that the PC boots to Win 7 bootloader giving me choice of Win 7 or Leopard (used EasyBCD by NeoSmart) but that screwed up everything. After many hours, now I can boot up ONLY with the USB HD and I get the Chameleon bootloader giving me option to load Leopard from the internal drive, or Leopard from the USB HD or Win 7. If I choose Leopard Internal Drive, it boots with no delay. I followed your guide to install the MyHack Installer 1.1 Pkg from the UDB HD to the Leopard internal Drive, but still the PC will not boot from the internal drive. Tried this many times but will not work. Otherwise, all working perfectly. Can you please help with some suggestions? I just do not know what I am doing wrong?

  8. I think this installer is great , I have one issue which is driving me up the wall , everything seems to work fine apart from the sound , I am currently running my hack on a Acer Veriton have tried numerous fixes which I found on the net however none seem to work .

Thinking of getting a separate sound card to see if this will fix the issue as the sound is currently on board

Any help will be appreciated .

    Thanks C

  9. Could the documentation be updated to be more clear about installing on the USB flash drive. If one splits the drive into 2 partitions, should OS X be installed on the first or second partition? is the myhack required to be installed on the OS X partition? first partition?
    Thanks

  10. Hi Conti, thanks for your great work. Have used the 1.1 installer and everything was working fine on my 10.6.0 Hack Pro. Decided to update to 10.6.4 as there didn’t seem to be any problems. It boots fine, but both my mouse and keyboard (both USB) aren’t working anymore. I can get into terminal through my thumb drive, but am not sure which kexts to install and how to install them. Any suggestions? And again, thanks for your work.

  11. Disregard the last post about the network card. I just got a usb wireless that works fine. I just have one question… Is it ok to use the Software Update option in OSX? I couldn’t find any mention about the update process on your site. Thanks again for your tool!

    • Andrew: Use of Software Update is covered in the installer guide, I suggest you read it. “Section 2: Software Updates”

  12. Thank you Conti! I got it to boot up and it’s working now, however the Network card does not seem to recognize. I am certain I am doing something wrong. I am new to this whole process and I think I missed something in how to install the kexts. I found several kext files that supposedly work, but nothings working. After dropping the kext files in the IONetworkFamily package I have run the kext utility. I then rebooted the computer but it still doesn’t seem to even detect the card. I am installing on a Dell GX280 with a Broadcom 5711. Not sure what else I can do here. Thanks for your help!
