myHack 3.2 BETA 8

This version is now deprecated, consult the myHack guide for a link to the latest version.

This version was downloaded 453716 times.

This has taken a lot longer than I anticipated to actually release. I have not had the time, energy or financial resources to dedicate more time to this project than a day here or there for many months. There are still more changes planned for the 3.2 milestone and I like to avoid releasing minor builds or revisions these days but in this case it is quite justified due to this years WWDC and the release of the 10.9 developer preview.

The download is available on the guide page.

  • Bugfix: Fixed “user canceled exiting error”.
  • Bugfix: Fixed (and improved) dialog icons.
  • Made MBR Patch optional (yes/no dialog).
  • Updated chameleon.
  • Added support for OS X 10.9 DP1.
  • Added TRIM enabler option – will enable TRIM support for all non-apple SSD’s.**
  • Other miscellaneous bugfixes and improvements.
**The TRIM enabler makes all changes in /Extra/ and does not modify /System/Library/Extensions/ at all. It works on all OS versions which support TRIM, though I am still waiting for confirmation that it works correctly on 10.9 DP1.

Make sure to read the release page for myHack 3.0, myHack3.1 & myHack 3.1.2 if you have not done so already, for a complete list of changes, contents and features.

Additional details of the myHack app’s contents, credits, and instructions are maintained on the guide page.

Feel free to post thank you comments and whatnot on this post but for support or to report a problem you encounter – please use the Forum or the #hackintosh channel on SojuGarden IRC.

  1. I have a PC running 10.5.6. And the myHack ap shows an error

dyld: unknown require load command 0x80000022
    and something big “/var/folders/…”

  2. Thanks for the new version.

I installed 10.9 to my desktop and now about this mac crashes and all drives are showing as external. Sleep also isn’t working but that’s not really a problem for me because I never use it. None of this happened on myhack 3.1.2 with 10.8 though

This is on a GA-Z77X-UP5 TH with a radeon 6670.

  3. Thanks for the new release. I installed 10.8.4 clean install, had to replace “boot” file on usb root with the boot file from 3.1.2 to get video on my HD Graphics 4000 for installer, i was getting a white screen. Other than that it worked perfectly with my GA-Z77X-UD5H.

    Thanks Again

    • That is odd… 3.2 beta has a more recent version of Chameleon on it. It should work better for HD4000. I will look into this, thank you for letting me know.
